1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service form a legally binding agreement between you and the individual operating Revia.
By creating an account, accessing, or using Revia, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge that you have read our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not create an account or use Revia.
2. Service operator
Revia is currently operated by Bladimir Villarreal, an individual established in Spain.
Postal address: Alicante, España, 03015.
Contact email: info@getrevia.app.
3. Eligibility and minimum age
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Revia.
By creating an account or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.
Revia may suspend or close an account if we reasonably believe that the user does not meet these eligibility requirements.
4. Accounts and authentication
Certain Revia features require an account. You may create an account using supported authentication methods, including email and password or Google Sign-In.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must not share your account credentials, allow another person to use your account, impersonate another person, or create accounts through unauthorized automated methods.
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless the activity results from a security failure attributable to Revia.
You should notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
5. The Revia Service
Revia provides tools designed to help users create, organize, review, and study educational material.
Features may include notes, flashcards, study scheduling, reminders, generated study materials, artificial intelligence features, notifications, and other learning tools.
We may add, modify, improve, replace, or discontinue features as Revia evolves.
Revia does not guarantee that any particular feature will remain available permanently.
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of the notes, study materials, text, documents, flashcards, and other original content that you submit to Revia, referred to in these Terms as User Content.
Revia does not acquire ownership of your User Content merely because you upload, create, store, or process it through the Service.
You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights and permissions necessary to upload, store, process, or otherwise use it through Revia.
You must not upload or process content that unlawfully infringes intellectual property rights, privacy rights, confidentiality obligations, or other rights of third parties.
7. Limited license to operate the Service
You grant Revia a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, transform, and display your User Content solely to the extent necessary to operate Revia, provide the features you request, secure the Service, and fulfill our obligations to you.
This license allows Revia to transmit User Content to service providers when technically necessary to provide a feature you request, including cloud infrastructure and artificial intelligence providers.
This license does not permit Revia to sell your User Content, use it for advertising, commercially license it to unrelated third parties, or claim ownership of it.
The license ends when the relevant User Content or your account is deleted, except to the limited extent that temporary technical copies, security records, or information required by law must be retained.
8. Artificial intelligence features
Revia may use third-party artificial intelligence services to generate, summarize, transform, organize, or otherwise process study materials. Revia currently uses Google Gemini for these features.
When you request an AI-powered operation, User Content necessary to perform that request may be transmitted to the applicable AI provider.
You should not submit sensitive, confidential, legally privileged, or highly personal information to AI features unless Revia expressly indicates that the relevant feature is appropriate for such information.
AI-generated content may contain factual errors, omissions, outdated information, misleading statements, or other inaccuracies.
You are responsible for reviewing and verifying generated content before relying on it.
Revia does not provide medical, legal, financial, psychological, or other regulated professional advice through its AI features.
Generated content may be similar or identical to content generated for other users. Revia does not guarantee that AI-generated content is unique, original, copyrightable, or free from third-party rights.
To the extent Revia holds any rights in AI-generated output created specifically in response to your request, Revia does not claim ownership of that output against you. Your use of generated content remains subject to applicable law and any applicable provider terms.
9. Acceptable use
You may use Revia only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- Do not use Revia to create, upload, distribute, or facilitate illegal content or activity.
- Do not infringe copyright, trademark, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights belonging to another person.
- Do not attack, probe, disrupt, overload, damage, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to Revia infrastructure, accounts, APIs, databases, or connected services.
- Do not bypass authentication, security controls, rate limits, access restrictions, or technical protections.
- Do not introduce malware, malicious code, automated attacks, or other harmful technologies.
- Do not scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, or systematically extract Revia data or content through unauthorized automated means.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, reproduce, or attempt to discover non-public source code, models, algorithms, security mechanisms, or underlying technology except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Do not use Revia to impersonate another person, misrepresent your identity, commit fraud, or deceive others.
- Do not sell, transfer, sublicense, or share access to your personal Revia account.
- Do not use Revia in a manner that violates the applicable terms or acceptable-use policies of services integrated with Revia.
10. Revia intellectual property
Revia, including its software, interface, branding, design, functionality, logos, original text, and other materials created by Revia, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no intellectual property rights in Revia are transferred to you.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, sublicense, or create unauthorized derivative works from Revia or its proprietary components.
These restrictions do not apply to your own User Content.
11. Third-party services
Revia relies on third-party technology providers to operate certain parts of the Service. These may include Amazon Web Services, Google, Cloudflare, and other providers introduced as Revia evolves.
Certain features may also be governed by terms or policies established by those providers.
Revia is not responsible for independent services, websites, or products operated by third parties that are outside Revia control.
Our use of providers and the processing of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Service communications
By maintaining a Revia account, you acknowledge that we may send communications reasonably necessary to provide or secure the Service.
These communications may include account verification, password recovery, security notices, study reminders, notifications, upcoming study reviews, changes to the Service, and important legal or administrative notices.
Optional marketing communications, if introduced, will be handled separately and will include any consent and opt-out mechanisms required by applicable law.
13. Free Service and future paid features
Revia is currently provided without a subscription fee.
Revia may introduce paid plans, subscriptions, premium features, or other paid services in the future.
You will not be charged merely because Revia introduces paid features.
Before you purchase any future paid service, Revia will provide the applicable price, billing frequency, taxes where applicable, renewal conditions, cancellation rules, and any additional terms required by law.
Any paid service will require a separate purchasing action or other clear agreement from you before a charge is made.
14. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Revia reliable and available, but uninterrupted or error-free operation cannot be guaranteed.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, infrastructure failures, provider outages, security incidents, changes to third-party services, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
We may change technical requirements, usage limits, features, or integrations where reasonably necessary to maintain, secure, improve, or develop Revia.
Where a material change significantly affects your use of the Service, we will provide notice where reasonably possible or legally required.
15. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
You may stop using Revia at any time and may delete your account through the functionality provided by the Service.
We may temporarily restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate security threats, prevent abuse, protect users or infrastructure, comply with legal obligations, or address suspected violations of these Terms.
We may terminate an account for serious or repeated violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, attacks against the Service, fraud, or conduct that creates material risk to Revia or other users.
Where appropriate and legally required, we will take proportionality into account before suspending or terminating an account.
The treatment and deletion of personal information following account deletion or termination are described in our Privacy Policy.
16. Disclaimers
Revia is a study and productivity tool. It does not guarantee particular academic results, examination results, grades, learning outcomes, or professional outcomes.
Study schedules, reminders, flashcards, AI-generated materials, summaries, and other content are tools intended to assist you and should not replace your own judgment or independent verification.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Revia is provided on an as-available basis and we do not guarantee that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for every particular purpose.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees, or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Revia is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising solely from circumstances that could not reasonably have been foreseen when you began using the Service.
Revia is not responsible for decisions you make solely in reliance on AI-generated content, study recommendations, or information that you have not independently verified.
Revia is not responsible for losses caused by unauthorized use of your account resulting from your failure to reasonably protect your credentials.
Mandatory rights and remedies available to consumers under applicable law remain unaffected.
18. Privacy
Your privacy is important to Revia. Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we process it, which providers may receive it, how long it may be retained, and the rights available to you.
The Privacy Policy forms an important part of your relationship with Revia but does not replace any consent that may be specifically required for an optional processing activity.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when Revia changes, when new features or business models are introduced, when providers change, or when legal requirements make an update necessary.
The current version will display its last-updated date.
If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide reasonable advance notice where required by law.
Where applicable law requires renewed consent to materially revised Terms, we will request that consent before the revised Terms become binding.
20. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are generally governed by the laws of Spain.
If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory protections that apply to you under the law of your country of residence where those protections cannot contractually be excluded.
Any dispute will be submitted to the courts or dispute-resolution bodies that have jurisdiction under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms requires a consumer to waive a mandatory right to bring a claim before a court that applicable consumer law makes available to them.
21. General provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
A failure by Revia to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision.
You may not transfer your Revia account or contractual rights to another person without our consent where such restriction is permitted by law.
These Terms, together with any additional terms expressly applicable to a feature or future paid service, constitute the agreement governing your use of Revia.
